Waiting for Autumn

Well, summer is ending and I definitely can see autumn kicking in. It’s been dark in the morning and cloudy rainy skies throughout the day lately. I’m feeling a familiar sense of blues sneaking up on me. I think after this week we’re getting a couple more weeks of sunny summer weather before autumn officially kicks in, and I’m honestly very excited for it to start. I can’t stand the heat despite growing up in Thailand in my childhood, sweating stinks(literally)!

I remember when I used to hate the rain and cloudy days with a passion but now I think I’m going to be fine with it. I remember when I was 16 I felt sad all the time and I had no idea why. Then a couple years later I didn’t realize that my sadness was a thing called SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). Something funny I found from the SAD wiki page is this quote

“One study looked at whether some people could be predisposed to SAD based on personality traits. Correlations between certain personality traits, higher levels of neuroticism, agreeableness, openness, and an avoidance-oriented coping style, appeared to be common in those with SAD”

The traits they describe sure sounds like someone I know very well lol ☚(*´∀`☚). So the phenomenon I was experiencing back then was probably what people call SAD.

Just a random thought of the day.

New Phone!

Why hello there! I am excited to announce to you all that I finally finally finally got a new phone.

So I went from the iPhone 5 to the iPhone SE! I’ve been waiting for a phone like the iPhone SE to launch for ages. You see, I’m not a big fan of the bigger phones. I mean, I know I would love to have a big screen but in reality all I need a phone that can fit in my hand and fit in my pocket.

Thus, when I heard Apple announced the iPhone SE, it was perfect! I wasn’t planning on getting a new phone til around Christmas time (as a present for myself lol) but my poor old iPhone 5 was breaking. The screen is slightly crack and popping out. I also smelled a burning scent coming from the phone the other day. I might have been hallucinating but  after I shut my phone off, the smell went away after that so……..yeah

Anyways, here are pictures of my old phone vs new phone.

I decided to not port my legacy backup that I had since 2009 from my original iPod touch because I feel that a fresh start is more appropriate. My old backup is way too old and in all honesty, it broke around a month ago when Pokemon GO some how took my phone back in time to November 2014, weird huh.

In any case, I’m pretty happy with the phone so far of my 1 day use of it. I’m looking forward to getting to use all the newer features that I didn’t have on my old iPhone 5.

PAX West 2016

To sum up my PAX experience for 2016 in one word it would be underwhelming. Not that it was bad, I actually had a lot of fun! It was just not as much fun as PAX Prime 2013. I think the reason for that is mostly because I did not do research before going. I just wanted to take Arthur to PAX at least once before our gaming interests die out (if it ever does). We’re both here right now, and PAX was right there in downtown Seattle. So why not just go, right?

We got the Sunday passes and so we arrive right around it opens. We browsed around the gallery and swag whored. After two hours we went to have lunch at the near by Cheesecake Factory and went back to PAX and went to the PC gaming area.

The PC gaming area was pretty cool since my PC at home is kinda dying off. It was nice playing on a PC that had no lag and literally downloaded Overwatch in 5 minutes.

And here are some pictures of the SWAGS I got. (Post them later)

Not much to say really. So byes!
