A m b i t i o n s ☆ Tour: ONE OK ROCK

wow Wow WOW.  WELCOME BACK TO SEATTLE!! I’m so glad I decided to see ONE OK ROCK again. At first I wasn’t going to go because they just played at the same exact venue in January.. Being in the K-pop mode lately doesn’t help me get into the mood to go to a rock concert either. Haha. But I went to see a local band called Tangerine in June and I felt the rock concert rush again and it got me hyped so I invited my Uni friend, whom we bonded over OOR, and my sister!

If you haven’t heard about ONE OK ROCK, and you love J-Rock, punk rock or any kind of rock rly, you must put aside some time to hear them out. Their music is filled with energy and their live performance makes everything BETTER. I think my most favorite thing about OOR, though, is the topic they sing about. There are just too many love songs out there… but OOR songs explores different topics especially coming of age and pure ambition. So the album titled Ambition is just so perfect for them.

Anyways, more going into the concert, this time’s show was 10x better than last show. I don’t know if it was because I decided to stay out of the pit or what, but the audience seemed more respectful. Except for one very powerful moment… While OOR was performing “Take What You Want”…. there was a long… a very l o n g silent.. waiting for everyone to quiet down. But there were these damn people on the bar area who just wont SHUT UP. Like HELLO? GET A CLUE. I wanted them to be escorted out SO BAD because they ruined such a great moment…. but I think the show recovered afterwards when everyone was being an awesome audience for the remaining so. Also, the encore moment was AWESOME. So many of us screaming “ONE MORE SONG” non-stop. They came out and played American Girl for encore and hell yes, it was the best.

And I would just like to end with an appreciation for my favorite band member, Guitarist Toru. I am still waiting for the day Toru would rap/sing in a song again.
